On 18-19 May 2016 over 60 experts from Burkina Faso, Niger and Senegal, as well as representatives from the EU, NATO and other international organizations met in Ouagadougou to discuss how to address the nexus land degradation, climate change, migration and security in West Africa. The event was attended by high-level authorities and closed by H.E. Alpha Barry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso. The regional workshop was organized by KAS, UNCCD and IOM.
