On 29th May the KAS offices from Brussels and Tunis jointly hosted with the Egmont Royal Institute a conference “Shadows of a radicalized youth: The struggle with Jihadism in the Mediterranean and the EU”. The conference’s key note speaker was Mr Gilles de Kerchove, the EU’s Counter-Terrorism Coordinator. He presented current challenges of the EU counter-terrorism cooperation and underlined the need for more cooperation with the MENA region.
